Helping Haiti
With estimates that as many as 3 million people in Haiti have been affected by the devastating earthquake on January 12, 2010, the loss is astounding. Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive announced on Monday that over 70,000 bodies have been buried in mass graves and Haitian Interior Minister Paul Antoine Bien-Aime estimates that between 100,000 – 200,000 people have died as a result of the disaster.
United Ways across the country and around the world are rallying to assist the people in Haiti respond to last week’s earthquake.
