Thank you Mattamy!

United Way of Oakville would like to thank Peter Gilgan, President and CEO of Mattamy Homes, and all of the staff for their generous donations. Through special events, employee donations and a corporate gift matching employee donations, Mattamy’s in-house campaign raised $100,000 this year for United Way of Oakville. Pictured above is Peter Gilgan and Victoria Hayes, Mattamy’s Employee Campaign Coordinator, presenting the cheque to Barbara Burton, United Way of Oakville CEO.

“Mattamy employees have generously supported United Way for many, many years,” said Peter Gilgan. “Since the beginning, it’s always been an easy decision for us to follow their lead and match their contributions. We’re all about “home” at Mattamy and Oakville is our home town.”

This is the largest donation Mattamy has given to Oakville. Not only has Mattamy Homes significantly increased its gift from last year, they have also grown participation levels, increased office spirit, and had a ton of fun with this year’s campaign. For the achievement celebration, Mattamy held a red carpet event and handed out Oscars to each department based on participation. Because the event was held on October 30, staff arrived in Halloween costumes.

“This has been a challenging year for us and we are extremely thankful for the generous donation Mattamy has given us,” says Barbara Burton. “This donation will go a long way to helping the needs of the Oakville community.”
